Traditionally, the things start for the Meeting C++ conference in April, with announcements and opening of the ticket shop. This is a bit different this year, as some restructuring and reorganisation goes on behind the scenes. And this takes a bit long then planned, so thats why some things this year are a bit more delayed then in the previous years.

April is almost over, but the ticketshop for Meeting C++ 2017 is still not open? Whats the issue? Well, things are a bit different this year, as I move things into a new company, called Meetingcpp GmbH, and this takes a bit longer then anticipated. The ticketshop should open in May, maybe already next week.

You have until June 1st to submit your talk to this years Meeting C++ conference! Like last week announced, this years conference is from the 9th until the 11th November. You can submit your talk here, this will also generate an edit token for you, so that you are able to edit your submission until the deadline on June 1st.

Finally I am able to announce this years Meeting C++ conference! It will be the first time that Meeting C++ is 3 days instead of two, spawning from Thursday until Saturday.

I can announce that - finally - Meeting C++ live goes live! Tomorrow at 17 CET the first episode is going to air, with guest Rainer Grimm. Rainer Grimm was already involved in the first Meeting C++ conference as a speaker in 2012. He is also a frequent blogger, book author and trainer on C++ related topics!

Since last week all videos are online from last years Meeting C++ conference. The conference was last year again earlier, which gave me a little more time to work on the videos in 2016. I decided to focus on this first also in 2017, to get this work done. Which has now happend. Its great. You can see all videos in this playlist.

With today, almost all videos from the A and all videos of the D Track are online. There is a recording issue with one talk in the A track, which might get resolved in 2017. Also since today, the Meeting C++ YouTube channel has more then 400k views!

I still feel very honored and humbled that Bjarne Stroustrup mentioned this list in his keynote at Meeting C++ 2016. He recognized the importance of community work, and the lack that has existed for this in the C++ community it self. So which C++ User Groups meet in the upcoming and final month of 2016? In total its already 30 groups which are meeting, also there are 10 new groups since the last posting:

Yesterday the feedback period for this years Meeting C++ conference ended. 146 attendees have provided feedback, there seems to be a comment on every talk, often several. The keynotes received the most feedback, together with the general feedback option for the conference. The comments and feedback results have been shared with the speakers already, here is the top 5:
