It is just one more month, until this years Meeting C++ conference! It will be a blast, with more then 330 Attendees its going to be bigger then ever before! I am looking forward to Scott Meyers wisdoms about effective C++ and what Hartmut will tell us at last about concurrency and parallelism. In between we'll have some great C++ content.

In this month there is a new record of meetings, also a lot of new user groups have started in the last weeks! New User Groups in November are Warsaw and the Qt User Group San Francisco. Also the JUCE C++ Framework organizes two meetups this month, one in Helsinki and one in Paris. In total there are now 28 User Group meetings in November, and I'm sure a few more will be added during the month.

When I began to read the proposals for C++ last year, I had the idea to write a tool to have a better view on the proposals. The original idea was to more or less download the proposals, stick them in a database and make them in this way search able. Later I imagined, that I also could create dependency graphs, like my tool for boost show cased.

I had the plan to offer late tickets from this week on, simply because last year the major batch of ticket sales was coming in too late, that it was very difficult to plan the exact size of the conference, I had to reorder t-shirts 3 times for example.

The monthly overview on the meetings of C++ User Groups world wide. I've enjoyed attending CppCon and met a lot of new people from other user groups there, and gave a talk about founding user groups, which is not yet online. Also the first community planning session in September was a full success, not directly related is that we have now 4 more upcoming user groups! Also in this month, there are so far 18 planned meetings!

I would like to try something new. I spoke at CppCon about founding C++ User Groups and Community work for C++. In general I'd like to give people the opportunity to meet once a month online, and exchange ideas for local C++ User Groups/communities. So, come and hang out if you like to start a user group, or are already attending one and would like to exchange ideas.
